Education:

The importing of US vehicles has, in the past, received a much deserved bad reputation. Damage repair, write off repairs and mileage roll backs have tarnished the name of the industry as a whole. Along came the Canadian and US government controls on both sides of the border. The Canadian side has implemented an extremely successful campaign in order to address this issue.

The Registrars of Imported Vehicles (RIV) was put in place on June 2nd 2004. This institution has been saddled with the job of ensuring that all vehicles brought into Canada from the US and abroad, meet all stringent requirements set by the Canadian government.

The regulations set forth by RIV are only a beginning. 49th Parallel Imports goes beyond these regulations. Pulling title on the vehicle, a carfax report and having an fully qualified agent view the vehicle before purchase are just a few of the things that we do above all the others.
